Downtown

I headed downtown by car yesterday morning. Travelling by baht bus or walking would have greatly increased my risk of getting soaked by Songkran revelers. This holiday is great fun for kids, and many travel round in the back of pickups armed with water pistols. The attached terracotta figures were photographed outside a South Pattaya restaurant. An outlet for ornamental wooden wagon wheels was also seen in the same area. I thought that the tree was interesting since the fruit appeared to sprout directly from the main trunk.

This fruit grows from the tree bark.

About ianframe

I have worked and travelled extensively in Middle East and S.E. Asia for many years. I now live in Pattaya, Thailand. I am a keen photographer, and carry my Nikon with me everywhere. The camera is fitted with a 60mm f2.8 macro lens. Since I don't like carrying, changing or buying lenses, I use this same lens for everything. Other interests include wildlife, Chinese ink painting, Tai Chi, jogging, and composing funny verse.
