I set out on my blog walk before 06:30hrs and hence not all the wildlife was awake. I found that baby praying mantis from a few days ago. He was munching on a fly breakfast. I also discovered a small bird sheltering amongst some long grass. He did not like the attention and soon flew off. It was a bit too early for butterflies and lizards.
